Background
Kansas Nonprofit Centre is the state-wide nonprofit network representing Kansas’ 10,000+ nonprofits. Additionally those nonprofits include more than 93,000 employees and countless volunteers. The Centre works to strengthen and connect nonprofit leaders and organizations. Its mission is to assist the members by providing high-quality nonprofit information, knowledge, tools, connections, and resources to all Kansas nonprofits.
The Problem
The Centre needed a website that would represent its brand and highlight its mission. First, it needed simple navigation to access courses online. Second, a seamless, easy to read design to prioritize important text. And third, the website was to increase awareness and drive membership.
The primary needs defined were:
- To assist nonprofits in developing and implementing “Best Practice” policies for the organization.
- Encourage and facilitate effective working relationships at all levels of government between elected officials, government agencies and nonprofits
Solution
As a result of my dedicated efforts, I was able to design a website for KSNPC that was not only good in appearance but also had amazing functionality.
My approach was to use the Executive Pro Theme (Genesis theme). This layout offers visitors an experience to share the Centre’s objectives and mission. It can be viewed on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device, a beautiful responsive design. The color scheme blue communicates trust, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, and truth. Everything KSNPC needs to help nonprofits. The primary navigation for the website is very simple and highly intuitive. The core pages of the site in the primary navigation area are paired with dropdown links to show more options making access to individual pages are easily found. KSNPC website is a beautiful, responsive design, fast loading, and easy navigation options worked great to bring in new nonprofits as members.
